The seller/contractor will not participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the VSBG and is not obliged to do so. Due to a legal obligation, we must inform you, irrespective of our participation in an alternative dispute resolution procedure, that the European Commission has set up an online dispute resolution platform (ODR) for the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes. Andrew Miedecke Mercedes-Benz (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) and Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd (“MBAuP”) equally, respects your personal information and share your concerns regarding data protection. Both, We and MBAuP aim at all times to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as amended from time to time.
MBAuP is part of the Daimler Group and as such, it also complies with the Daimler policy on data protection for data of customers and partners.
1.1 Kinds of information we collect and hold
name; gender; occupation and employment details; contact details; address details; registration and driver’s licence details; credit card and bank account details; other financial information; current and past vehicle information and details; cookies and website tracking; location through anti-theft vehicle tracking technology in loan and demonstrator vehicles; voice and image; educational qualifications and resume; personal interests.
1.2 How we collect your personal information
when you contact us (including our customer support centres); when you attend one of our or, our authorised dealers’ premises;\ if you order a product or service from us; if you apply to be a dealer or through dealer communications; from third party roadside assistance service providers; via our websites; when you attend a product focus group or review a product; via social media; from competitions or promotions you have participated in or our events you have attended; from publicly available sources; from third party service providers; when you apply to work with us; from other Daimler Group companies; from the Austroads Ltd’s National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System if we are conducting a recall; and/or from government bodies, enforcement and regulatory authorities.
